Ok... so this topic is not only a matter of just informing or entertaining you, the Blog reader, but this is a personal dilemma of mine. I, probably like the other great numbers of Americans, am dependent solely on texting on a cell phone to people. I cannot stress how addicted I am to texting, hell I have scared away many people BECAUSE of this problem. I can count at least 3 or 4 people that I constantly have "creeped out" because of my problem. You would think I would have learned my lesson... well you'd be wrong to say so because no matter how much I try, the urge to text someone, ANYONE, just eats my heart out. My problem has resulted in so much anxiety and depression just because I can't text someone I know due to events in my, or their, lives. It is just such a problem for me to separate myself from my damn phone, and now I fear I may keep scaring potential friends, or significant others, away from me, even now I fear it.
My experience is not just affiliated with me, I know that many other Americans are afflicted with a condition such as my own and are in a similar predicament such as myself. But does that mean this condition is to be blamed on the technology that it was designed for? The answer is "No" because to simply put, it is the mind of the wielder of a cell phone that determines whether or not he/she can contract said condition. I, for example, have never grown up with a way to communicate with people whom I know until I got my phone almost 3 years ago, since then I just haven't been able to come to terms with this, for a lack of words, "addiction". I guess what I can say about this predicament and the danger of text addiction is that technology was not meant for enjoyment or convenience, it was meant for a more important purpose and to be consumed by it and become hooked to it is not it's purpose.

A Question of Attraction: Personality vs Looks?
Ok, so this certain topic as been on my mind for so long in my life, for about 5 or 6 years now I have heard the debate: Is it the personality or the looks of a person who determine compatibility? In my own opinion, I really have no strict guideline on as "How good does this person look", all I care about is whether that person will make me happy or not, looks or no looks (and if my girlfriend is reading this, you are good looking to me and you make me really happy so don't worry). But others would argue differently, I have heard so many different opinions towards how people (guys in particular) view their "perfect" match. Most of these opinions mostly bring up appearance and that those who they view as "perfect" should be just that, look perfect to them. But what they don't take into affect is what I call "a personality factor" which is the factor in a relationship that allows a couple to bond with another. Whenever I bring up this topic, nearly the same response comes up: "That doesn't matter, I'll make it work." Really, you'll make it work?
This topic also brings up another topic which I always take so, so, so greatly: the value of a relationship. Nowadays most of the younger generations view relationships as nothing, almost like objects, if a relationship is not what they are expecting, they move on without ever thinking the effect it has on the other person. What ever happened to the ideal of a happy, cute and honest relationship like it was among the older fashioned generations? It is almost never seen amongst people of my age (17) or just barely among their 30s or 40s, which is a shame... But I guess that's what happens as generations continue and society changes, the value of "love" changes along with it. Is this the reason why 50% of marriages end in divorce and, on average, only last about 8 years (which is not that long by marriage standards)? Honestly, I believe so and what we are taught as kids and/or what we begin to think of relationships as teenagers will dictate whether we will be truly happy with someone...

Red vs Blue Season 10
So, some of you may know about a webseries known as Red vs Blue which is, I believe, the oldest running webseries on the Internet although that information may be wrong (if you have any information that contradicts or confirms said statement, I would appreciate it). Anyway, the series is entering its 10th season... HOLY F**K congratulations to Rooster Teeth and its outstanding cast for 10 years of awesomeness.
Red vs Blue Season 10 will be premiering on Memorial Day of 2012 and will be featured only at www.roosterteeth.com (you should really visit the site, its pretty damn cool ^_^) and will feature a brand new and famous cast member: Elijah freaking Woods. Thats right you Lord of the Rings fans, Frodo will be voice acting in a part, although it is not confirmed how long this partnership between Woods and Rooster Teeth will last. All I can say is strap in for the ride because this is going to be quite the wild season.
